Saint Francis Named Number Four on Modern Healthcare Magazine’s 100 Best Places to Work

Cape Girardeau, MO, November 15, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Saint Francis Medical Center was named number four on Modern Healthcare magazine’s 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare – no other Missouri hospital was in the top 20.

Any healthcare company (providers, suppliers, payors, associations, etc.) with at least 25 employees was eligible to apply. As part of the selection process, information was collected from Saint Francis, including a survey detailing company policies, practices, benefits and demographics. Employees were asked an in-depth set of questions that resulted in an analysis in eight core areas: leadership and planning, culture and communications, role satisfaction, working environment, relationship with supervisor, training and development, pay and benefits, and overall satisfaction.

“The services, technology and buildings we offer are not what drive the Medical Center to be nationally ranked in healthcare,” said Bjelich. “It is the dedicated, compassionate people who drive this organization to excellence. At the end of the day, employees go home feeling good about their work and knowing they worked as a team and made a difference in someone’s life.”
