Videowebgate Opened the World Cup Section

Videowebgate opened a world cup section to allow fans to watch the games hopefully without interruptions.

Jerusalem, Israel, June 05, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Videowebgate (Jerusalem, Israel) has released the Worldcup 2006 section, that contains all the possible broadcasters of the world cup to the web globally.

"Videowebgate was set up purely because of this problem" says Amit Mendelsohn Founder and CTO. "There is a consumer boycot on the existing rights holder and the Cables and satellites are trying to charge a huge and impossible price. Globo is broadcasting to the web but to Brazil only BBC broadcast in the UK only and the rest of the world have to pay from the nose".

Videowebgate is a free service and not intending to charge anything on any of its services, ever. The continuos growth shows that there is a demand for this type of service. Videowebgate provide a Free software as well as a lite version (in 7 languages) both for windows users and by now it is spread out to more the 1 million users (250,000 downloads and 750,000 in CDs that was bundled with pc magazines all over the world another round of distribution is expected to raise these numbers to more then 2.5 millions within 2 months.

"The World cup is the most importent sport event in the world and takes place every 4 years. I hope that FIFA will be smart enough to keep low profile about the internet broadcastings and will not force anyone to block its stream" adds Mr. Mendelsohn "It will be stupid, the TV companies simply have no idea what the Internet is, they do not understand that even though its much richer in content and completely international, it is not a competition to the large screen in the living room, let us watch the games and stop picking our pockets".

Videowebgate promises to keep updating the world cup session durring the games.
