HKEPC editors begin by introducing some of the standout specifications and features of the N4100PRO: "Focusing on the speed and storage requirements of professional and enterprise users, the Thecus® N4100PRO network attached storage device (NAS) uses an AMD Geode LX800 low-voltage CPU, which only consumes 0.9W and runs at 500MHz. This is quite unique in terms of other NAS devices…each drive bay supports 3.5” hard disks up to 1TB, making a total capacity of 4TB. RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 and JBOD are all supported, along with RAID Expansion. When users need to add storage capacity, they don’t have to shut down the system. Simply add or replace a hard disk and the array is rebuilt automatically."
In addition, editors also praised the N4100PRO’s thoughtful design: "To allow users to see the status of their NAS at a glance, the N4100PRO’s front panel is equipped with an LCD display, which shows its current IP address, RAID status, time and date, and more...On the power management side, the N4100PRO comes with Wake-on-LAN, which allows users to turn the unit on via the network and turn the unit off when no one is at the office. Also, the N4100PRO has Power On After Power Loss, which allows the N4100PRO to reboot after a sudden power outage, making it more conveniently accessible."
