Columbia, SC, December 01, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Samurai Karate Studio, located at 2000 Clemson Road, Suite # 9, Columbia, SC 29229; is extending their holiday canned food drive through Christmas week. According to Sensei Feldt, owner and chief instructor, "We have gotten off to a good start collecting food for Harvest Hope Food Bank, with nearly 200 items collected; but I would like to double that number if possible!"

It was recently reported in the State News Paper that Harvest Hope Food Bank is well below their needs for this time of year. With the current state of the economy, many people are experiencing hard times and are taking advantage of the food bank.

"I would like to encourage the public to drop off food to support our drive," commented Sensei Feldt. "Anyone who brings in 10 cans of food will receive a complimentary pass to receive two Free private introductory lessons; this is a $60.00 value. This is a great value in return for helping out a local organization that does a lot of good in the community. I hope the public will take me up on this offer."

Samurai Karate Studio teaches a traditional style of Japanese karate to children and adults, starting with children ages 3 and up.

If you would like to donate some canned goods, please call Sensei Feldt at 803-462-9425 or email him at samuraikarate@bellsouth.net.
