Chapel Hill, NC, December 17, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Patty Briguglio, president of MMI Associates, Inc., a Raleigh-based public relations firm, has announced that Wesley Hyatt, senior writer for the firm, will participate as a featured guest on Shokus Internet Radio Wednesday, Dec. 17 to discuss the history of daytime television. Hyatt will review the highlights of soap operas, game shows, talk shows and other programming on ABC, CBS and NBC since the 1970s with Stuart Shostak, host of “Stu’s Show,” live from 7-9 p.m. Eastern Time. Joining them will be game show authority Steve Beverly, as well as select calls from listeners. This appearance follows a well-received discussion by the trio in August covering daytime television in the 1950s and 1960s. The program will be rebroadcast daily at the same time the following six days except on Sunday, Dec. 21, when it will air from noon-2 p.m. ET. To listen to the interview, visit www.shokusradio.com.

A Chapel Hill native and resident, Hyatt has written six nonfiction books including his first, The Encyclopedia of Daytime Television in 1998. He has been interviewed by many media outlets as a TV historian, including The Arizona Republic, Bloomberg Radio News and tvparty.com.

“I look forward to talking about daytime television with Stu and Steve,” said Hyatt. “We are all quite familiar with the shows and the people involved in them since the 1970s, and we each have definite opinions about them, so it should make for a lively and fun discussion.”
