Leadership in Capital Projects Announces Open Registration for Forum to Enhance Excellence in Texas’ College and University Construction Projects

The LinCP Forum provides the venue for the open exchange of concerns, ideas, and solutions, leading toward positive, forward movement in this field and more positive outcomes for all project stakeholders.

Austin, TX, January 10, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Leadership in Capital Projects (LinCP) - A Forum to Enhance Excellence in Texas’ College and University Capital Projects, scheduled for February 27, 2009, at The Crossings Conference Center in Austin, Texas, is now open for registration.

This limited attendance program will include a panel for each topic, made up of representatives from each of the three key groups instrumental in delivering public University capital projects. Owners/users, contractors/suppliers and A/E’s/consultants will address each of four topics of interest to the audience, speaking from their individual view points on current issues and concerns for a more sustainable industry and improved project delivery and outcomes. Collaborative solutions discussions will follow.

Organized by Synergy Builders of Austin, Texas, this landmark, one-day event explores today’s greatest challenges facing the delivery of college and University capital projects. University project owners are confronted with unstable economy and shifting political scenes. Architects, engineers and contractors are left to compete for a smaller pool of projects with tightened budgets, but quality, speed and innovation remain high expectations. The LinCP forum allows all these groups to address these and other issues within a collaborative setting.

“I will be using a variety of soft and hard technologies to encourage collaborative dialogue,” stated Carol Warkoczewski, founder of Synergy Builders. “An audience response keypad system, as well as open-space, and possibly conversation café style group dialogue techniques will be incorporated,” Warkoczewski explained. “Knowledge and imaginative initiative are integral commodities to success. This forum aims to foster common interests and gain a better understanding of issues and concerns between and among each key group. This forum will not just discuss issues, but will lead to collaborative solutions and next-steps.”

The LinCP Forum event will be held at the eco-friendly Crossings Conference Center near Volente, just west of Austin. In keeping with their mission of encouraging a healthy planet, The Crossings employed green building principles in their award-winning design and is LEED certified.
