Another New Security Technology

A new document technology that is user friendly.

Paso Robles, CA, January 10, 2009 --(PR.com)-- ProDocumentSolutions introduces another New Security Technology.

ProDocumentSolutions (Pro) announced they have successfully completed development of a new security technology, Trademarked SCANcheckä, that has the potential to drastically reduce digital fraud as we know it today. The new technology works on the premise of Steganography which allows a hidden message to be in plain view but unrecognizable to a casual observer unless they have knowledge of it and have the ability to decode it. Using a micro-text printing technique to print a visible image, such as a Corporate Logo or Name as a special 3-D relief pattern, some of the micro-text characters are modulated or reversed out to create the hidden message. The visible 3-D relief image carries this hidden verification message embedded in its background. The invisible message can be de-coded with nearly all consumer level scanners set to specific settings and has been developed to be easily verified at any point with most existing desk top scanners. Another strong defense of the new technology is that if the document, which carries the technology, is copied using typical scanning and copying techniques, the counterfeited document will not display the verification message when scanned. Pro has incorporated the new technology on the back of a new line of high Security Checks it has. The new technology can also be incorporated and be a powerful fraud deterrent on other security documents such as; Transcripts, Vital Records, Certificates, etc.
