Encino, CA, January 15, 2009 --(PR.com)-- TechnoCom Corporation™ (www.technocom-wireless.com) vice president, Janice Partyka, along with other leaders of the E9-1-1 Institute, met with members of President-elect Barack Obama's transition team to discuss policies for emergency response vital to the nation’s safety. They conferred on strategies to modernize outdated emergency communications and response systems that suffer from interoperability issues and the inability to handle many new wireless technologies and Internet protocol communications.

Next generation 9-1-1 and updated emergency communications and information technology would provide the nation with greatly improved emergency response capabilities. Shared software infrastructure and deployment of broadband to all entities involved in emergency response would ensure that emergency responders can exchange video, text messages, vehicle crash data, key electronic health data and other critical information.

The E9-1-1 Institute is a not-for-profit organization devoted to serving the U.S. Congressional E9-1-1 Caucus, promoting awareness of emergency communications and elevating policy issues important to the safety of the nation.
