Hosted Solutions Finishes Strong Year and Expands Management Team Naming Its First Vice President of Marketing

East Coast’s premier data center and managed services provider continues to grow despite economic downturn.

Raleigh, NC, January 14, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Hosted Solutions, the East Coast’s premier data center and managed services provider, announced today that Noreen Allen has joined the company as Vice President of Marketing.

Allen joins Hosted Solutions from Motricity, where she spent three years as Vice President of Marketing. During that time, she built significant brand awareness for the company and played a key role as the company grew from approximately $35 million to $100 million in annual revenues. Before that, she spent eight years with SpectraSite Communications, serving as Vice President of Marketing and leading marketing initiatives from the time of the company’s inception until it was sold in 2005 to American Tower Corp for more than $3 billion.

“This is the perfect time to bring in someone with Noreen’s background,” said Rich Lee, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. We’ve built a strong, profitable business organically over the last seven years without a marketing strategist on our executive team. Noreen led marketing for two very prominent local brands that were in similar high growth situations. Her experience with marketing, branding and positioning will be invaluable for us as we take the business to the next level.”

“I’m incredibly excited to join the Hosted Solutions team,” Allen commented. “Rich and his team have built a solid business in a very controlled, strategic manner. Given the current economic climate, the managed hosting sector is one of the most attractive areas of business with great potential for continued growth as things like cloud computing and virtualization move to the forefront. Hosted Solutions is in a great position in the market and I see tremendous opportunity to continue to grow the business.”

Allen’s addition to the team comes on the heels of a record growth year for Hosted Solutions. In April, the company announced that it was acquired by Boston-based private equity firm ABRY Partners for $144 million. The company has had great momentum since then with significant growth in both customers and employees. New customers included Belk, Atlanta Falcons, UNC Charlotte and Britax Child Safety, joining a prestigious list of existing blue chip customers like Krispy Kreme, Carolina Panthers, McClatchey Broadcasting, Capitol Broadcasting and Lowe’s Motor Speedway. In addition, the employee base doubled since Q4 of 2007.

“We just finished a very strong year,” Lee added. “Our business has continued to flourish even in the midst of a tough economy because we offer solutions that enable companies to manage through and survive difficult markets. Many businesses are struggling today, and they’re looking for cost savings in their IT budgets. Our solutions allow our customers to minimize capital expenditures and control operating expenses, making it much easier for them to focus on the business and navigate a tough climate.”
