Monroe Music Store Helps Marching Band to Finance Trip to Perform in Inauguration Day Parade

Monroe, CT, January 21, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Trumbull High School Marching Band Parents Association President, Margaret Barry and two band members were presented with a $250.00 giant sized check on Friday at Creative Music Center in Monroe. The money will help fund the band’s trip on Tuesday to Washington, D.C. to perform in President Obama’s Inauguration Parade.

The cash donation fulfilled Creative Music Center’s pledge to contribute a percentage of the store’s net proceeds from January 1 through January 15 to the band. In addition, the store purchased 125 pair of marching band gloves costing more than $600.00, which they also donated to the band. The gloves are specially designed to keep fingers free and hands warm in cold weather. They were delivered to the band early last week for use during practices.

President of the Trumbull High Marching Band Parents Association, Margaret Barry said “I am very pleased and grateful to Creative Music Center for their generous donation of cash and gloves for the band. Their support is truly appreciated.”
