)-- Leader in online channel management technologies, RateTiger has launched a new version of RTShopper Pro (version 2.6) with enhanced performance and new features. This new version has been distributed as an automatic update to all existing customers.
Roomtype Rate Shopping
You will be able to generate rate comparison reports between the different room types of your hotel and those of your competitors, in each of your selected websites.
A generic room type – say ‘Standard’ or any other name you wish – will have to be created and saved. The different room types, selected from your hotel and your competition will have to be mapped to this generic room type. In the online report page, you will have to select the generic room type, e.g. ‘Standard’ to view the new ‘room type based’ report.
You now have a sleek new and more user-friendly interface which will simplify the parameter selection process for Weekly & Daily reports and the Graphical reports. The look and feel of Websites and Hotelsites selection screens has also been modified.
Archiving Online Shopping Data
After generating a report in the Online Websites Report section, your data will now be stored in the RateTiger database which you can now for your future reference, by clicking on the ‘Past Reports’ button.
After the release customers will now be able to schedule Daily Reports and Rate Alert Reports from their local PC. The new function, managed through “Settings”, will allow the selection of a maximum 10 day period with two options:
Options for the Daily Reports are either:
* 10 days Daily Report (e.g. 10 days as of today) or
* 10 days Fixed Date Report.
Delivery days and times can also be configured to customer preference and convenience. The report will be made available via e-mail and within the application interface (a tab called “Report”) after having undergone quality checks.
The Rate Alert Report will generate an e-mail alert when there is any rate change exceeding a specified percentage or amount. Rate changes are monitored for your hotel as well as your competitors across your selected websites. The default setting is 10%, changes can be made in the “Settings” section of RTShopper. The user also has two options to configure the alert (10 days Rate Alert Report or a 10 day Fixed Date Rate Alert Report) as well as the ability to set the frequency and interval. The reports will be generated and sent via automated email at the scheduled time.
Configuration of weekly reports
Users now have the ability to maintain and configure their weekly reports in the “Settings” section of RTShopper. Delivery of the reports will remain the same.
When you request a Daily/Weekly/Alert report from your PC, you will find the RateTiger product icon displayed in the system tray of your windows operating system ( ). This ensures that the background process responsible for the creation of the reports has been properly started.
