The report showed that Tennessee was among 14 states that had declines in their overall scores for healthiness, due to among other things, lack of exercise. Now the whole nation knows about it.

Participants who averaged at least 2 health club visits per week over 2 years incurred at least $1,252 less in health care costs. It is also documented that obese adults who are 30 or more pounds overweight incur medical costs that range from $5,000 to $21,000 – much higher than those who are healthier and fit.
