Scott Erb, Award Winning Photographer, to Showcase Figurative Work in One Man Show
The Well announced a showing of the limited edition photography of the award winning photographer, Scott Erb. The exhibition is to showcase his early and recent figurative photography.
Worcester, MA, June 26, 2006 --(PR.com)-- The Well, www.harlowstreet.com, today announced a showing of the limited edition photography of award winning photographer, Scott Erb. The exhibition is to showcase his earlier and recent figurative photography.
In today’s uncertain climate of world turmoil, Photographer Scott Erb turned to his camera to capture what he feels is real beauty. He hopes others will look at his work and see it as well. His figurative and digitally manipulated work will be on display at The Well, a local gallery located in the heart of the Sprinkler Factory at 38 Harlow Street, Worcester, MA. from July 8th – July 30th, 2006.
He hopes that by displaying his recent nudes, people will view the images and feel connected to the beauty he sees radiating from the models he has chosen to photograph.
“In today’s world of increasingly violent news and imagery. I find that the images I see in newspapers, on the Internet, and on television, tend to creep and fester within my mind. My photography is a way to escape this world of darkness and hate. I find that photographing the beauty of the human form allows me to consider and then eliminate those images of brutality left in my mind. Sometimes, if we can’t find beauty, we must create it.” Erb states.
After a bit of a hiatus from showing his work anywhere due to a bad experience with a gallery, Erb has found a renewed interested in showing his creations. This was inspired by gallery owner and art advocate Gary Dusoe. “Gary has reopened my eyes to the possibilities of showing my work again. He truly cares about helping artists and creating outlets for the art scene in Worcester.” Erb says.
A reception with the artist is scheduled for Saturday July 15th from 7pm to 10pm. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
