RedVector Fellow Selected to Judge 2009 Horizon Awards

Awards Recognize Outstanding Construction and Renovation Projects.

Tampa, FL, February 01, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Associated General Contractors of Greater Florida, Inc. (AGCGF), a chapter of construction contractors and industry-related companies dedicated to promoting skill and responsibility in the construction industry, has chosen RedVector Fellow Jim Kissane to judge the 2009 Horizon Awards. Kissane will join a panel of industry professionals including architects, contractors, college professors, building professionals and other relevant entities.

"RedVector has been an amazingly strong ally of AGCGF for over ten years," said AGCGF President and CEO Bill Spann. "This year, Jim Kissane, a Fellow at RedVector, has been chosen to judge the prestigious Horizon Awards for Construction Excellence -- our premier annual competition recognizing only the very best builders in Florida," said Spann. “The Horizon Awards continue to be an important benchmark in our industry, and once again we achieved a record number of submissions for 2009 (a 25 percent increase over 2008). To help us recognize the leaders in design and construction, AGCGF chose Mr. Kissane for his expertise in the industry, his longtime association with AGCGF and his commitment to design and construction excellence. We are honored to have him serve on our panel of judges," Spann said.

The competition is open to all AGCGF general contractors, subcontractors and supplier firms in good standing who have completed a unique construction or renovation project in 2008. AGCGF will announce the winners at the Annual Dinner and Horizon Award Program on February 29, 2009 at Ginn Reunion Resort in Reunion, Florida.
