Russell Reid is a Winner at Atlantic City Casino

Russell Reid was called upon to remove a mix of grease, wastewater and sand from an Atlantic City casino. Being able to provide a variety of equipment as well as source disposal solutions resulted in substantial cost and time savings.

Keasbey, NJ, February 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- On December 17th, Russell Reid responded to an emergency call from Arthur Henry Plumbing to assist at a job at an Atlantic City casino. The job required pumping and disposing of a mix of grease, wastewater and sand to allow access to buried waste piping.

Russell Reid got to work right away to devise a plan to remedy the situation. More information revealed that the waste piping was coming from a kitchen area and ran beneath the casino in to a basement which was filled with sand. A leak had occurred, contaminating the sand in the large basement with grease and wastewater.

The right tool for the job was the Russell Reid Jet Vac. The Jet Vac is a dual purpose truck having both pumping and jetting capabilities, combining a very powerful vacuum with a high-pressure water jetting system. Jet-Vacs are used where heavy semi-solid and wet solid removal is needed and uses a hydraulically driven dumping body for the material. To perform the work at the casino, one Technician operated the main controls at the vehicle while the other technician worked in the casino basement. At the other end of 300 feet of flex hose, the nozzle was applied to the grease and wastewater laden sand around the buried pipes.

In addition to the Jet-Vac, Russell Reid supplied a 20 yard roll off container with a liner to collect the debris. This allowed for uninterrupted service and would save the time spent trucking the debris to the dump when the Jet Vac was full. Russell Reid was also able to arrange for a convenient turn–key specialty disposal at the Atlantic County Utilities Authority land fill in nearby Egg Harbor Twp. This was possible due to maintaining excellent relationships with our disposal facility partners. Without this specialty disposal, it would have been necessary to utilize a costly disposal at a far off private facility.

Removing the sand gave the contractor and in-house plumbing staff at the casino an opportunity to map, maintain and repair sewer lines that hadn’t been accessible since installation. This will greatly improve operations and reduce the probability of maintenance issues in the future.

Russell Reid’s technicians handled the work with great expertise and careful attention to the clients’ needs. In addition, we were able to arrange for turn-key service which allowed one stop shopping for all the needs of this challenging job. Being able to provide a variety of equipment as well as source disposal solutions saved both time and money and resulted in a very satisfied customer.
