Knockdown Full Height Turnstile

Perimeter security often requires pedestrian entry points. While indoor turnstiles commonly used in airports of government buildings have experienced developments in recent years, the common outdoor turnstile has barely changed in 20 years.

Sydney, Australia, February 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- All this has changed with the release of the Leda Vannaclips knockdown turnstile. “Turnstiles are one of the bulkiest devices to freight,” reports Leda Design Manager, Steve Holder. Most people have passed through a full height turnstile at sporting grounds the world over and will recall the size of turnstiles. One of the greatest expenses associated with the equipment has been freight and handling and Leda now believe that their new knockdown design avoids the bulk of this cost.

The knockdown turnstile supplied by Leda completely disassembles for freight which means the cubic metres required has reduced costs of freight to less than a quarter of previous. “This design development allows us to hold more stock and air freight greater quantities,” reports Mr Holder. The turnstile assembly takes only a few minutes longer according to Leda, with the advantage that the equipment can be manhandled as opposed to needing lifting equipment as in the past.

Leda also reports that its new robotic welder installed in 2008 can make multiple units per day meaning lead times and costs have also reduced.
