Mallory Alexander International Logistics Names Cathy Spencer General Manager, Northern Plains Commerce Centre

Cathy Spencer has been named general manager of the Northern Plains Commerce Centre (NPCC) by Mallory Alexander International Logistics (www.mallorygroup.com).

Memphis, TN, June 29, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Cathy Spencer has been named general manager of the Northern Plains Commerce Centre (NPCC) by Mallory Alexander International Logistics (www.mallorygroup.com). Spencer will initially oversee development of the NPCC, which is being managed by Mallory Alexander for the City of Bismarck, North Dakota.

“Cathy was instrumental in planning the NPCC for the city of Bismarck,” says Paul Liddell, vice president warehousing for Mallory Alexander. “Her 'ground floor' involvement, and her extensive supply chain experience, made Cathy the ideal candidate to handle this important assignment for Mallory Alexander.”

Spencer was first assigned to Bismarck's NPCC as a logistics consultant for Kadrmas, Lee and Jackson. She has been involved in international commerce for the past 15 years and has been a licensed customs broker since 1997. She began her career in international commerce with A.W. Fenton (now part of Exel) in the import trade compliance area. After seven years with Fenton, Spencer was appointed international customer service manager for Tech International. In 2002 she moved to Honda Trading America as an international supply chain manager.

Spencer is president of the Sister Cities International Council of Bismarck. Her previous professional affiliations have included a board position with the Columbus Importers and Brokers Association, membership on the Columbus Council on World Affairs and as a volunteer for the Ohio State University Center for Slavic and East European Studies.

The NPCC is a planned 243-acre complex that will provide complete multi-modal distribution services. It is located adjacent to the Bismarck airport and, when completed, will include rail, air, warehousing, intermodal, and transloading services and have easy access to interstate highways. The transloading facility is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2007. Mallory Alexander was chosen by the City of Bismarck to develop, manage and operate the entire facility earlier this year. The NPCC is also being assessed for a Foreign Trade Zone and Port of Entry.
