)-- This weekend is week 2 of The Online Poker League's summer leagues.
The Pot Limit Omaha game will take place on Saturday 8 July at 22:00 BST and will be hosted by Poker.com. The buy in is $2.20 and Poker.com have added $6 to the prize pool.
The No Limit Texas Holdem game will take place on Sunday 9 July at 20:00 BST and will be hosted by the Prima Poker network. The buy in for this tournament is $5.50.
Week 1 started slowly with only a handful of players for each game but in a strange twist last seasons Holdem champion bmw608 won the Omaha game and last seasons Omaha champion smithsj1 won the Holdem game.
The Online Poker League
The Online Poker League is a fledgling poker league that is currently entering its third season. Fixtures are scheduled for each weekend with Pot Limit Omaha being played on the Saturday and No Limit Holdem on the Sunday. Prizes are available to the winner of each league and the winner will be the player who has had the best 7 results from the 13 week season. The Online Poker League will also sponsor some freerolls and added prize money tournaments during the season as well as working with Poker houses to have some sponsored games.
