Headsets.com Appoints Two New Board Members

Ken Weller, former CEO of Good Guys and senior VP of Best Buy, and Terry Flynn, headset industry veteran and former general manager of Hello Direct, join the Headsets.com board of directors.

San Francisco, CA, February 19, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Headsets.com, the leading direct mail and internet retailer of telephone office headsets, announced two new additions to its board of directors: Ken Weller and Terry Flynn.

Ken Weller joined Good Guys in the early ‘80s as a salesperson in San Francisco. He moved on to become store manager, regional manager, and vice president of sales. In 1993, he was recruited to join Best Buy as their first external senior vice president, sales. On leaving Best Buy, Ken was responsible for $7 billion in sales and 26,000 employees.

In 2000, Ken Weller was approached to re-join Good Guys as president of this publicly traded consumer electronics company. He was quickly promoted to chairman and CEO, and during his first year in that capacity, the company made a profit for the first time in 7 years. In his second year, he recommended and persuaded the board to sell the company to Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim. That sale was finalized in December 2003.

Ken Weller’s background has made him an expert in team building, motivation, and getting bottom-line results.

Terry Flynn is president of BtoBpodcast.com and Market Chord Direct Group, LLC. BtoBpodcast.com produces studio quality podcasts and media content. BtoBpodcast.com’s clients include leading trade publications, direct marketers and associations. Market Chord Direct Group is a collection of consulting and marketing technology companies focused on improving multichannel marketing results in the business-to-business and business-to-consumer categories. Terry’s experience as the former general manager of Hello Direct gives him great insight into the telephone office headset market.

These additions increase the number of Headsets.com board members to four. In addition to Terry Flynn and Ken Weller, the members of the Headsets.com board include: Rick Mills, CFO of Headsets.com, and Mike Faith, CEO and president of Headsets.com.
