A Lavish Stage Has Been Set by the Design Group Miami at the 2009 Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival

Honoring the Great Wines of Spain with a very Special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with the Distinguished King and Queen of Spain.

Manhattan, NY, February 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Only a day away from the commencement of the 4-day culinary and wine extravaganza at the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival, the foodie industry and media are a-buzz as they await the highly-anticipated opening ceremony under the Wines of Spain tent. As the preferred décor and production vendor for the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival, The Design Group (TDG) Miami have prepared a vibrant, sophisticated look for the Wines from Spain tent, fit for none other than, the King and Queen of Spain.

Inspired by the Wines from Spain “Vivacious Varietal” campaign, The Design Group used their rich multicolor palette including bold orange, yellow, green, red and purple to represent the rich, lively feeling of Spain, all while keeping it South Beach cool. The Wines from Spain tent will be seen from across the event as the signature “Vivacious Varietal” graphic has been printed on the tent. The theme follows inside, onto the 16x16 foot-long custom-built, curved bar, which is saturated in the colorful print. A special chestnut-stained wooden tower has been constructed in the center of the bar area by TDG, which will hold a large television playing the PBS special on Wines from Spain. Above the festival-goers are bold-colored spandex sheets draped and stretched across the ceiling. With all the grand whimsy of color and design, event-goers will feel like they are in the most lavish of circus-like settings, filled with beauty and a plethora of fantastic wines from Spain.

On Friday February 20, 2009 at 12pm, the Opening Ceremony will commence with a ribbon cutting ceremony with Their Majesties King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia of Spain. The King and Queen will be joining the top wine industry tastemakers to cut the 18-foot long red and yellow ribbon, representing the Spanish flag colors, which TDG has constructed, to officially open the 2009 Food Network South Beach Wine and Food Festival up to the public.
