)-- Accent Construction, a Triangle-based full service commercial general contractor, has announced that President and LEED-Accredited Professional Lori Eichel will be a featured speaker at the 2009 Southeastern Lifecycle Construction Conference to be held February 25th-26th in Atlanta. Sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the conference will examine the environmental and economic impacts and the overall sustainability of the construction process from planning to final use of the building. Issues that impact design and construction in the Southeast will be addressed including: drought, storm water management, energy costs, greenhouse gas emissions and construction waste and recycling.
Eichel’s talk will address sustainable commercial renovations and retrofits from the contractor perspective.
