FR3SH Dance Company Presents "The Main Event," A Hip-Hop Showcase Featuring Over 20 Teams and Alumni from MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew

Hip-Hop Dance Competition to Unite Over 100+ Sponsors/Advertisers, 500+ Performers, 1000+ Attendees and MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew Alumni

Englewood, NJ, February 26, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The East Coast finally has a dance competition of their own. With the third season of America’s Best Dance Crew arriving, along with the success of So You Think You Can Dance and Step Up 2, it is clear that everyone wants to throw down to show that they are the best. On February 28, 2009, FR3SH Dance Troupe, LLC (NJ) will present The Main Event Dance Competition (www.maineventcompetition.com). This event, located at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, NJ, will feature over 20 hip-hop dance teams from the coast-to-coast.

The Main Event is the first of its kind: an annual hip-hop dance competition held on the east coast, featuring talent from the east coast, and hosted by east coast’s very own FR3SH Dance Troupe, LLC.

Set to perform are Project Em, Funkanometry SF and the Lost Kids with a special performance by the Boogie Bots from MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew. Other ABDC alumni expected to make an appearance: Boxcuttuhz’s Rocko Luciano, Iconic’s Geo Hubela and Soreal Cru’s Brian Puspos.

Following the day of the performance, FR3SH will sponsor dance workshops at The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Englewood, NJ. Master classes will be taught by Kyle Hanagami and Ellen Kim (The Lost Kids), Mariel Martin (former Artistic Director, Funkanometry SF), Keone Madrid (Choreo Cookies), and Brian Puspos (MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew, Soreal Cru.)

Competing teams at The Main Event include: Capital Funk (DC), DynamiQ Faction (NY), E.P.I.C. Motion (NY), FLO Dance Team (NY), Fusion Dance Company (MA), Hip-Hop Theory: Elite (NY), Major Definition (MD), Phunk Phenomenon (MA), RAPS Dance Troupe (NJ), Rhythm City (NY), Rhythmology (NJ), SERCisCompany (NJ), Vibes (MA), and WRUSH (MA). Exhibiting teams include: The Lost Kids (CA), Funkanometry SF (CA), Project Em (CA), FR3SH Dance Company (NJ), FR3SH Juniors (NJ), FR3SH Freestyle Crew (NJ) and the Boogie Bots (MD).

Official Hip Hop Dance Association score sheets will be utilized for The Main Event. Judging the talent are renowned choreographers: Mariel Martin (former Artistic Director, Funkanometry SF), Keone Madrid (Choreo Cookies), Kyle Hanagami (The Lost Kids), Emerson Aquino (Executive Artistic Director, Funkanometry SF), Gina Rosales (Executive Director, Funkanometry SF) and Rocko Luciano (MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew-Boxcuttuhz and former Artistic Director, Funkanometry SF.)
