Salem, NH, February 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Romantic-thriller author Denise Robbins to sign books in Salem.

Computer-thriller author Denise Robbins will be signing copies of her newly-released novel It Happens in Threes at Sammy J’s Breakfast Café in Salem, on Saturday, March 14, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Robbins, a software engineering manager by day, developed a passion for romantic novels when she was out of work five years ago. She began writing It Happens in Threes as a way to combine her love of writing with a lifelong interest in true crime and mysteries. In this debut novel, Robbins uses her intricate knowledge of computers and software to take readers on a roller coaster ride of suspense and intrigue.

“I like including computer material in my books because technology is constantly shifting and there is always some new vulnerability,” Robbins said. “People don’t really understand the power of computers – or the power of those who know how to get into them without an invitation.”

In It Happens in Threes, one of the characters uses software to launder money from large corporations under the guise of helping them with their network security. The heroine writes a piece of software called a trojan to get in and follow the thief’s software and then make it appear that the funds are transferred – when in fact they aren't.

The Midwest Book Review gave It Happens in Threes five stars and says the novel is “packed with scorching romance, nail-biting suspense, and nonstop action,” making it a great read for both men and women.

Sammy J’s Breakfast Café, located at 144 Main St., Salem, serves a full breakfast menu and is known for its home fries. Robbins will be available to talk to diners about her book and sign copies between 8 and 10 a.m.

Robbins’ second novel, Killer Bunny Hill, another computer-thriller, takes place in the New Hampshire mountains, and is set for release later this year.
