Growth Drives Web Site Redesign for Business Training Library

Ten-year-old, St. Louis-based Business Training Library achieves substantial growth and redesigns web site to increase usability, update high-tech look and feel and increase search engine optimization.

Saint Louis, MO, July 08, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Business Training Library, the St. Louis-based training solutions firm, has completed a major redesign of their company web site – the first redesign since its founding in 1996 – to accommodate its significant growth and its plans for still more expansion.

In fact, in four years, the firm’s “Lending Library” has grown from 450 titles to more than 3,000, including the award-winning “Dialogue: Now You’re Talking” (chosen by Training Media Review as the best training video in 2004). And, in 2000, Business Training Library rolled out their web-based “e-Learning” line, which increased their product line to more than 6,000 titles.

“Since 1996, we’d only done some minor edits to our web site,” said Marketing Director Megan Pichee. “We decided we needed to ‘raise the bar’ and totally redesign.”

The firm selected Soulard-based SteadyRain, whose strategists met with Business Training Library’s key staff members to define the web site’s main goals. Then, SteadyRain’s team of graphic designers and applications developers re-branded the entire service, which had become cumbersome and complicated with the company’s growth, into one web site – www.bizlibrary.com -- that offers two solutions: e-Learning and the Business Training Library.

The next step was to design a more technological look and feel that more closely reflected the company’s product line. The design afforded a more user-friendly experience with easier navigation that better fits with the company’s emphasis on customer service.

A key element to the web site’s design was integration of SteadyRain’s Content Management technology. Now an assistant can frequently and easily change content, graphics and links on pages throughout the web site.

“It’s a huge plus,” said Angie Stevens, Business Training Library’s Business Development Manager. “Now, I’m running a different highlighted item every day. We are also doing better marketing of other efforts, such as trade shows. The site looks great. Our image is 1,000 times more professional, up to date and cutting-edge.”

Since 1996, Business Training Library has provided affordable training solutions to small- to mid-sized companies. Business training Library has twice been chosen for “The St. Louis Regional Technology Fast 50” list by The St. Louis Regional Commerce & Growth Association and Deloitte & Touche.

Founded in 1999, SteadyRain is a privately held, St. Louis-based Internet strategy, design and development firm that offers services to a wide range of businesses, schools and non-profit organizations.
