Brie’s Gift Gallery Continues to Expand Despite Sagging Economy

Due to the sagging economy and concerns about the environment, consumers are turning to recycling as a way to ‘go green’ and to sustain value for their hard-earned dollars. “Purchasing antiques is a great way to recycle. Antiques give great style to the home and the quality is much better than new pieces.” says Brigid. “In addition to the antiques we offer, many of the handcrafted items at Brie’s are made from recycled and vintage materials, such as our jewelry, pins and pincushions.”

Oakton Street Antique Centre is located at 2430 Oakton St. in Arlington Heights, ½ mile west of Route 83 (Elmhurst Road.) Brie’s booth is #A4 at the east end of the store.

In May 2008, Brie’s relocated 1 ½ blocks west to a store twice the size of the previous location. In addition to the two retail locations, Brie’s conducts estate sales and takes eBay and in-store consignments. Custom jewelry design and costume jewelry repair services are also available.
