Integra, Inc Completes Interface with Medicine-On-Time

“The Medicine-On-Time interface allows our clients to use manifest processing that was historically limited to the pharmacy system software.” said DocuTrack Product Manager, Louie Foster. “This results in higher levels of compliance and a greater return on investment by consolidating all the pharmacies manifests within DocuTrack.”

Carson City, NV, March 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Integra, Inc. and Medicine-On-Time have released an interface between Integra’s industry leading set of work flow and document management solutions, DocuTrack and DeliveryTrack, and Medicine-On-Time’s personal prescription system.

DocuTrack allows users to streamline pharmacy work flow through the automation of all paper, fax and electronic processing. DeliveryTrack is a complete delivery management solution providing electronic signature capture, real-time proof of delivery, bar code scanning of delivery manifests and route optimization.

Medicine-On-Time’s personal prescription system packages, organizes and simplifies the timing of individual dosage. Medicine-On-Time uses a pill cup containing exactly the pills needed for dosage, with the precise time and date that pills need to be taken. These pill cups come organized in a color-coded calendar card to ensure better tracking and convenience.

The Medicine-On-Time system allows packages to be filled and reviewed by pharmacists. When delivered to a caregiver, the system provides assurance that these are the correct medications for that particular patient, making it easy to administer medications on time.

The interface will allow DocuTrack customers using Medicine-On-Time to:

1. Scan and index all Medicine-On-Time manifests directly into DocuTrack: Electronic filing and routing of documents eliminates issues related to lost or incorrectly filed documents.

2. Instantly locate Medicine-On-Time manifests by Rx: Instant access to all electronically filed information greatly reduces look-up time and improves customer service.

3. Identify any manifests not returned to the pharmacy: Using detailed reports, view any manifests not scanned in at the end of the day or not delivered through DeliveryTrack. This can assist in the elimination of delivery errors and track recurring delivery problems with individual drivers.

4. Manifest scanning available for Medicine-On-Time customers using DeliveryTrack: For customers utilizing Integra’s delivery management solution, DeliveryTrack, manifest scanning allows the pharmacy to scan manifest bar codes and/or scan each prescription, reducing handling time and time spent at drop-off locations.

“We are extremely pleased to partner with Integra on this interface,” said Ian Salditch of Medicine-On-Time. “We are always looking for ways to provide performance enhancing options and advancements for our users.”

Medicine-On-Time Product Information
The Medicine-On-Time system enables pharmacists to presort and package patients’ multiple prescription drugs into a series of personalized dosage cups, which are labeled with the administration date and time. The system combines software and patented packaging components, allowing pharmacists to custom sort and package a patient’s prescription medication into a series of clear dosage cups. The bubble-shaped cups are arranged on a color-coded calendar card and hermetically sealed. Each dosage bubble is clearly labeled with the patient’s name, the contents and the precise time to take the drugs. The calendar cards are colored to indicate whether the medication should be taken in the morning, afternoon or evening. The software can be interfaced with a pharmacy management system.
