ArdPark Cabins, Campground Opens Near Berryman

Florissant residents open primitive camping and vacation rental cabins in Steelville, Missouri. The intimate venues have prime privacy, freedom and numerous nearby activities. Children and pets welcome.

Steelville, MO, March 04, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The area's newest cabin and camping venue is best described as peaceful, personal and private. Nestled in the Mark Twain National Forest on the outskirts of Steelville lies ArdPark where visitors will find two lushly furnished cabins and a separate acre campground on the Courtois Creek, complete with amenities of its own. Owners Tim and Cindy Ard say they provide a unique, intimate experience where patrons can feel like they're vacationing on land of their own. "Because ArdPark is small, we are able to impose less rules so our guests can enjoy more freedoms than they might elsewhere," says Cindy. Dogs are not required to be leashed and customers can bring their personal firearms to do a little target shooting. Cindy added, "these are just a couple uncommon attributes we offer that people are really happy to find."

Despite a very late start last fall, ArdPark has already entertained a variety of guests including mountain bikers from St. Louis, Omaha and Kansas City, families vacationing with their pets, a group celebrating a 25th birthday and couples retreating to the country for a quiet anniversary weekend. Guests are routinely greeted by some sort of small gift such as an ArdPark t-shirt, birthday balloons or treats for their dogs. Tim and Cindy believe those extra touches add to the personal atmosphere and make guests feel even more at home.

Native residents of Florissant, Missouri, the Ards have been local landowners for over 10 years and spent the prior 15 years enjoying the outdoors at popular area campgrounds. They now spend the majority of their time in Steelville at ArdPark where they plan to live permanently in a year or two. "The country is in our blood," says Tim, "it's all about being in the woods away from the fast paced city life. We really love Steelville."

Guests frequently ask what made them decide to open ArdPark and the answer is simply to make people happy. It's obvious that Tim and Cindy genuinely enjoy sharing their personal slice of heaven on earth where guests can rest and relax in solitude, partake in their favorite outdoor pastime or visit some of the numerous nearby attractions.

If you have ever longed for a private way to spend time in the country, ArdPark is definitely the right spot for you. Find out more and view more pictures by visiting them at www.ardpark.com.
