Regional Competitors at March 7 Winter Guard International Eye Coveted Door Prize

2008 Winter Olympics Baritone Horn Inscribed with Olympic Rings to be Raffled.

Monroe, CT, March 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- On Saturday, March 7, one lucky school participating in Trumbull’s Winter Guard International Regional Percussion Competition will own a piece of history; an official 2008 Beijing, China Olympic baritone horn. The horn, used at the 2008 Olympics and manufactured by Eastman, is inscribed with the Olympic rings and is a collectible piece of musical history.

Creative Music Center of Monroe was one of a handful of stores that were offered a horn from the Olympic Games last fall. “I am very honored and pleased to be able to donate this beautiful horn to benefit the Trumbull High School Winter Percussion program. I’m deeply committed to supporting local music students and music programs. I’m certain that the winning school will cherish it and provide a place of prominence for this rare instrument.”

The horn serves as the event’s largest door prize and participating schools will have equal chance to win it. Raffle tickets to win the horn will be sold for $3.00 each or 10 for $20.00. The winning raffle ticket will be drawn by Creative Music Center’s owner Liz Reisman, between 6:00 and 8:30 p.m. at the event. The winning ticket holder will share the horn with their school, where it will be placed on display.
