GrammaTech Achieves Record Revenue in 2008

120% increase in CodeSonar sales is testament to strength of flagship product and sales execution.

San Jose, CA, March 07, 2009 --(PR.com)-- GrammaTech Inc., a leading manufacturer of source-code analysis tools, today announced that it achieved record revenue in 2008. Much of the growth was fueled by CodeSonar sales, which more than doubled.

“2008 was a great year for us”, said Tim Teitelbaum, CEO of GrammaTech. “Like everyone else, we are somewhat concerned about the economy going into 2009, but we are also encouraged by the fact that Q4 2008 was our best quarter ever. We are continuing to invest aggressively in CodeSonar, and we are working on a number of sales-related initiatives to expand the business.”

As part of a strategy to expand European sales, GrammaTech recently signed a distribution agreement with Logic Technology. Logic Technology is a strong player in the European market for embedded software and debugging tools, offering a wide variety of products. The customer base includes many multi-national companies, as well as many small- and medium-sized companies developing embedded products. Under the agreement, Logic Technology will sell and support CodeSonar within Central Europe.

CodeSonar is a sophisticated static-analysis tool that performs a whole-program, interprocedural analysis on code and identifies complex programming bugs that can result in system crashes, memory corruption and other serious problems. CodeSonar has long been the software-analysis tool of choice for companies working on mission-critical applications like satellites, avionics, industrial controls and medical devices. Companies outside the safety-critical space are also adopting CodeSonar to improve software reliability and security. This includes organizations developing software for wireless devices, networking equipment and consumer electronics.
