UFL Access Launches Access 2.0 to Cover New United Football League

UFL Access announces the features and layout of their new 2.0 layout.

Charleston, SC, March 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- UFLAccess.com launched "Access 2.0" on March 9th, 2009. The newly redesigned site, launched to cover the nascent United Football League, integrates web 2.0 features such as Twitter to make stories easier to share, and includes links to DIGG, Facebook and a variety of social bookmarking sites. A Facebook Fan page for UFL Access has been created ahead of that service’s redesign.

UFL Access also launched a new logo designed by Scott Smith, a graphics designer from Florida, which will be used to brand the site's efforts throughout the internet and on merchandise which will be unveiled soon. The logo is integrated into a new color scheme more closely aligned with the color scheme of the United Football League.

In recent months UFL Access has become the "go to" site for football fans interested in the United Football League after Access writer Fran Stuchbury broke the story of former New York Giants Head Coach Jim Fassel coaching in the United Football League. The story generated references to UFL Access in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, ESPN.com, and NYPost.com among others. The momentum from that story has led to a 76% increase in average monthly traffic, boosting the site to #2 behind only the United Football League's official site.

In the months to come UFL Access plans numerous moves which will cement it as the #1 site for fans looking for news and opinions about the United Football League. Fran Stuchbury, who hosted an AFL radio show and is a ten year AFL reporting veteran, will host a radio show on UFL Access dubbed "Inside the UFL". Podcasts are planned during the season along with live chats. The UFL Access Twitter will continue to have breaking UFL news, as will the Facebook page. The site also plans to launch fantasy football and pick 'em games.

Editor in Chief Billy Kirk said, "UFL Access will continue to host exclusive interviews and break news throughout the league’s “Premiere” season and beyond. In the near future visitors and fans can expect team specific sites that will further underscore our dedication to excellence in league coverage and sports journalism as a whole."
