Clearwater, FL, March 14, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Dr. David Minkoff, MD, (http://www.drminkoff.com) an alternative health care expert, initiates “Health by Numbers,” a health stimulus program that provides free tests designed to help relieve health worries in these tough economic times when no one can afford to be sick. The “Health by Numbers” program provides participants with detailed data on their current state of health, evaluates initial information to see if they may be at risk of developing a debilitating disease such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease, stroke, or have another declining health issue, and provides advice and guidance about ways to improve their health. The first clinic to offer the program is LifeWorks Wellness Center (http://www.lifeworkswellnesscenter.com) in Clearwater, FL where Dr. Minkoff is the Medical Director and co-founder.

“The initial tests in the program are free. When the tests are completed, a qualified health care practitioner reviews the tests with the patient, explaining the meaning of each number, going over areas of risk or potential risk,” explains Dr. David Minkoff. “We have caught many areas of risk or potential risk that can easily be resolved before a more serious illness occurs that results in work loss and reduced income.”

Patients doing “Health by Numbers” are met by a LifeWorks healthcare practitioner, who will guide them through the 12-week program. On the initial visit, a series of free simple tests are conducted which focus on the 10 vital numbers that provide a detailed picture of a person’s health; weight, body fat, visceral fat, muscle mass, water, bone mass, basal metabolic rate, physique rating, metabolic age and antioxidant level.

During the first week’s visit, the healthcare practitioner reviews the “Health by Numbers” tests results and where needed, explains how the numbers shown can be early indicators of serious future health problems or where serious conditions may exist. Based on the test results, a program is recommended to improve the health numbers and these numbers are monitored throughout the 12-week program. Improvements in these important numbers can provide patients with the opportunity to have peace of mind and happiness.

Dr. David Minkoff currently devotes his time to writing and research.
