Jewelry Designers Bring Their Collection to Fort Worth

Jewelry designers Herndon Heald are working hard in a tough economy and are hosting a trunk show and cocktail party to introduce the metroplex to their collection. The event will be Saturday April 4th, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM and is open to the public.

Fort Worth, TX, April 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Just because the economy looks bad doesn’t mean anyone should have to sacrifice style. The up-and-coming jewelry designers known as Herndon Heald are not letting a downturn in the economy slow their progress. Retail is having a hard time and customers aren’t going to boutiques and galleries like they were in previous years, so Herndon Heald is taking the reins and bringing their collection to the people, and the Metroplex is their next stop. In collaboration with Palisades Townhomes, Herndon Heald is holding a trunk show and cocktail party on Saturday April 4th from 1:00 to 5:00 at 600 Skyline Bluff Court, just a 1/2 block north of Belknap and Pecan St.

Owners and designers Jeri Lynn Heald, Mark Herndon, and Naomi Herndon share two studios, one in Santa Fe and a satellite studio in Austin. Herndon Heald has had a strong relationship with the Sundance Catalog for over two years and they are expanding their audience with their website www.herndonheald.com. “Unfortunately, economic uncertainty has made retail owners more reluctant to pick up new product lines, but our customers are still buying, so now we are bringing our jewelry directly to the public through our website and with trunk shows,” said Naomi Herndon. Naomi and Jeri Lynn both grew up in Fort Worth, Texas and are looking forward to bringing their work back home.

The Herndon Heald collection includes sterling silver, 14k and 18k yellow gold, and 14k rose gold in addition to rubies, sapphires, pearls, and other stones that span the color spectrum. The designers’ specialty is their handmade paillettes and they often use them in combination with leather, silk cord, and hand hammered discs. In the company’s first days the three designers decided to create a new kind of jewelry company that instituted and mixed the traditions of fine jewelry making from the different cultures they encountered on their travels to places such as India, Bali, and Thailand, and mixed it with the Native American Jewelry that they were seeing in their own backyard in New Mexico.

The Herndon Heald trunk show and sample sale is open to the public on April 4th, from 1 to 5PM. “People that come to the show will be able to preview pieces of our collection that are not currently available on our website,” said Jeri Lynn Heald, “and if they sign up for our mailing list on the contact page of our site, they can get 20% off of what they purchase at our show at the Palisades.”

With great care, Mark, Naomi, and Jeri Lynn endeavor to make beautiful jewelry that can be treasured for years to come and they invite anyone who enjoys beautiful, quality jewelry to join them at Palisades on April 4th.
