Prague, Czech Republic, March 21, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Secons s.r.o. announce the launch of their latest product, MicroVGA, a new cost-effective Microcontroller to VGA interface providing 80x25 16-color text mode.

An advantage of MicroVGA is that it is extremely easy to use as it works the same way as a standard ANSI (or VT100) terminals. It can be connected to almost any microcontroller using only 2 wires (minimum, 4 recommended). Microcontroller requirements are undemanding - just UART, a few kilobytes of code memory and at least 10 MIPS of computing power.

It is also a highly versatile product - MicroVGA is not just microcontroller-to-VGA interface. In addition to VGA output, MicroVGA can also display on your television (both American NTSC and European PAL systems are supported) and MicroVGA also provides PS/2 keyboard input.

MicroVGA is the ideal solution for embedded applications requiring user interface functionality.

In addition, text user interface library for MicroVGA is provided at no cost. The library includes example projects for several widely used microcontrollers, engineers can start developing applications immediately. The MicroVGA-conio library is available at http://www.microvga.com/conio-lib
