Not Lame Records is Pleased to Present Dw. Dunphy's Enigmatic

Enigmatic, the new album by Dw. Dunphy, is now available through Not Lame Records, the esteemed power-pop label and sales venue.

Red Bank, NJ, March 30, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Dw. Dunphy and purveyors of fine pop music Not Lame Records are proud to announce that the company has partnered with Dunphy as a sales venue for his latest, Enigmatic. “Not Lame and the company’s head Bruce Brodeen are serious about power-pop and I’m privileged that Enigmatic will be a part of their stock,” says Dunphy. Not Lame is highly respected as both a sales site and as a label, having produced the ongoing series of International Pop Overthrow sets collecting the best from the esteemed IPO Festival as well as the long-out-of-print but highly coveted Jellyfish B-Sides/live collection Jellyfish Fan Club Box Set.

Following fast on the heels of 2008's Modernism, Dw. Dunphy returns with Enigmatic, a recording he calls his most personal release so far. "The whole thing has an underlying theme, mostly about how even the stories we tell and the masks we wear say a lot of truth about who we are. I delved into that a little on Pseudobiography but for the first time, I'm stepping out of my comfort zone to say, this is me, more than I have in the past." Enigmatic also revisits the stylistic clashing Dunphy experimented with on Modernism. "Modernism was split almost down the middle between songs and instrumentals and I enjoyed the process of bringing the two together in some kind of balanced way. Enigmatic is much more song-driven. It is perhaps the most song-based album I've ever done. The fun part was that I had a lot of simple, acoustic-based songs, very much the kind of songs I did early on, interspersed with more rock, more aggressive songs. This is a recording meant to be played loud and softly, depending on which track is up."

The first quarter of 2009 has been highly productive for Dw. Dunphy. Aside from releasing standard and deluxe versions of Enigmatic, he has released an instrumental album entitled Symphonica Transistori, a print edition of his web novella Drivers of the Plague, as well as writing his weekly column for Popdose.com and his monthly internet show Radioshow With Dw. Dunphy at www.thepenguinrocks.com.

Enigmatic standard edition will be available at the following outlets: Not Lame Records, iTunes, PayPlay, Amie Street, Napster, Amazon and Rhapsody. Enigmatic can be found at Not Lame at:
