The Journal of the Unpublished (JUNPonline.com) Goes Live

Toronto, Canada, April 07, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Journal of the Unpublished (JUNP, JUNPonline.com), has opened its doors to the public. Amateur and professional scientist's can now publish all their
observations, data and scientific research through easy to use forms for free.

The goal of JUNP is to publish and share research that normally would not make it into traditional journals. Publishing and organizing this substantial amount of research online, particularly from amateur scientists, in one place will add to our overall knowledge by providing access to observations and data otherwise never seen and shared with the public.

Submitted data and articles are available to the public through search forms. Data and articles will receive a new type of community 'peer' review, as everyone can comment on and discuss the published results.

Like minded individuals and organizations are encouraged to network and communicate here by registering an account for free. Organizations and other groups can publish websites devoted to their organization in order to promote their group and work.

Allowing naturalist's to publish their vast amount of animal, bird and plant sightings will contribute to conservation efforts, migration studies and environmental impact assessments. Most conservation groups and environmentalist lobby with no data to back them up, which severely restricts their effectiveness. Organizing data here will assist their causes as they will have historical data on animals & plants that live in an area or water and soil measurements of common elements (i.e. pH).

As most health science researchers know, the majority of their work is never published and shared with the public, only the minority of their work is exciting enough to make it into official journals. By publishing this work and sharing it with the public they will cut down on duplicating work that was already done by someone else unknowingly. Other researchers may find new ways to adapt these results and experimental methods to improve upon them rather than wasting their time and research dollars duplicating them.

JUNPonline.com welcome’s feedback from its audience and will use it to shape the future of this online community science journal, after all, it is a site for you.

Enjoy.
