Polk County Florida Deploys Novatus Contracts to Manage Purchase Contracts, Track Financial Payments and Automate Supplier Evaluations

Orlando, FL, April 09, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Novatus, a contract and compliance management software provider announces the production deployment of the On-Premises installed Novatus Contracts solution at the Polk County Board of Commissioners in Bartow, Florida. Polk implemented Novatus Contracts to manage all purchasing contracts including; complex construction contracts, technology contracts, and consulting agreements. They also use Novatus Contracts as an integral part of their supplier management processes.

The Polk County Purchasing Division has mandated the use of the Novatus Contracts system for all purchasing contracts. One of the key drivers is the automation of financial payment tracking from contract to purchase order through payments issued in their Oracle financial system. Polk receives funding from multiple sources for multi-million dollar county projects and must ensure payments comply with contracted amounts. Purchase orders and payments issued in Oracle will post automatically against the Novatus contract payment streams to track spend and enforce compliance with contracted payment amounts. Polk County also automated their supplier performance evaluations to increase participation by project managers across the county.
