Dogs and Cats Get Their Own Discount Drug Program

St. Petersburg, Florida Animal Hospital develops $4 prescription program for pets.

St. Petersburg, FL, April 15, 2009 --(PR.com)-- While some prescription drugs for humans are now available for $4.00, most veterinarians have not been providing a similar price for their four-legged patients. Until now.

“The economy is bad right now and we all know it” says Dr. John Hodges, owner of Noah’s Place 24-Hour Animal Medical Center. “We decided to put the most common prescription drugs used by our vets into a program that will allow significant cost savings for our clients. It is the least we can do in these difficult times.”

Offering a drug program similar to others but geared toward the family pet, the St. Petersburg, Florida veterinary hospital is now offering medications for its clients at prices of $4.00 for up to a month’s supply and $10 for up to a three month supply of the most common generic veterinary drugs. Some of the types of drugs included in the program are antibiotics, eye medications, skin medications, antihistamines and thyroid medications. A complete list is available on their website.

“We hope that by saving money for pet owners, pets can be taken care of on an easier budget” says Dr. Hodges.
