The United Waterfowlers of Florida and the Central Florida Sportsmen's Group join the City of Winter Haven's "Keep Winter Haven Clean and Beautiful," Project EAGLE lakes and waterways cleanup program.

Winter Haven, FL, April 21, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The United Waterfowlers of Florida joins the City of Winter Haven's "Keep Winter Haven Clean and Beautiful," and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's Project EAGLE lakes and waterways cleanup program.

Saturday, April 25, 2009 will be the 16th annual Project EAGLE lakes and waterways clean up effort.

The United WaterFowlers of Florida, a statewide sportsman's organization of over 1,000 members, will participate in Project EAGLE collecting discarded trash, garbage and debris from Polk County's waterways.

The United WaterFowlers of Florida has officially adopted the Lake Hancock-Saddle Creek area as its targeted area and will focus its efforts on cleaning the area of all haphazardly discarded debris. It is the goal of United WaterFowlers of Florida to return Lake Hancock to its original pristine state.

Members of the United WaterFowlers of Florida will converge on Lake Hancock's ''Buzzard Beach" with boats and donned in waders to clean the waterway of discarded garbage, household trash, tires and appliances.

The goal of the United WaterFowlers of Florida is to exceed the 4,000 pounds of trash collected during the 2008 Project EAGLE lakes and waterways cleanup.

The United WaterFowlers of Florida and the Central Florida Sportsmen's Group are proud to participate in Project EAGLE and "Keep Winter Haven Clean and Beautiful."
