Ciphent Named First McAfee Security Innovation Alliance Integration Services Partner

McAfee Selects Ciphent to Provide Integration Development Services.

San Francisco, CA, April 22, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Ciphent, Inc. today announced that it is the first company to join the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance (SIA) as an integration services partner. Ciphent’s integration expertise and years of experience customizing McAfee products for enterprise and Government clients will help drive robust technology integrations with McAfee’s ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) security and compliance management systems, extending that system’s ability to improve protection, increase compliance and reduce operational costs.

McAfee’s Security Innovation Alliance program was created to simplify the integration of different security technologies within complex customer environments, leveraging McAfee ePO as the central management console. In an effort to accelerate integration development McAfee has selected Ciphent to provide fast and reliable integration services to partners looking to become McAfee Compatible. “We are pleased to add Ciphent to the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance,” said Joe Gottlieb, vice president of corporate strategy and technology alliances, McAfee. . “Ciphent has demonstrated a deep competency in McAfee-specific integration services and thus was a natural choice to jumpstart this new category in SIA.”

“We are thrilled to have earned McAfee’s respect and the distinction of becoming the first integration services partner to join SIA,” said Ciphent Chief Executive Officer, James C. Foster. “Clients are faced with a level of business and technological threat that the world has never seen before and as such require fully integrated solutions to protect their organization. Ciphent will remain steadfast in our commitment with McAfee to accelerate the global adoption of the ePO framework as the security foundation to battle cyber terrorism and attacks.”

Ciphent has already begun working with multiple SIA partners in an effort to jump-start their ePO integration. Offering tiered and packaged integration services, Ciphent provides all stages of integration support. Clients who only need a specific aspect of integration may choose one of the three “jump-start” packages focused on either Reporting, Agent Deployment or Data Integration. The majority of SIA integration prospects however will opt for Ciphent’s SIA EXPRESS Full-Service integration package. This solution provides total integration services, development, free McAfee pre-testing, and a maintainable code-base for easy partner and McAfee upgrades in the future. Recognizing the unique nature of security technology, Ciphent also offers custom integration services designed specifically for enterprises that seek to integrate “home-grown” applications with ePO.

Ciphent’s integration services give SIA partner’s the ability to cut their integration costs by up to 80% and bring their technology to the McAfee market faster with the McAfee Compatible brand. “This is a win-win for everyone,” said Gottlieb. “Using Ciphent’s expertise, SIA partners can bypass the learning curve and integrate with ePO faster, thereby enabling McAfee customers to take advantage of the expanding suite of integrated security products sooner.”

Ciphent has already been engaged with McAfee customers on custom integration solutions and has worked to implement some of the largest McAfee installations around the globe. With Ciphent’s addition as an SIA integration services partner, McAfee customers world-wide stand to benefit greatly from the added products, applications, and services that they will be able to integrate into their enterprise infrastructures.
