My Private Hell Announce Album Title and Release Date

Suicide EP to be Released on June 9th, 2009.

Burbank, CA, April 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- With the June 9th, 2009 release of the “Suicide EP,” My Private Hell’s second EP in a 4 year span, critics and fans will experience a band that has come a long way since 2005’s impressive EP ’Weight Of the World.’ Now in their 5th year together, Gian Erguiza, Blue Palacol and Eric Cuarez, My Private Hell has taken their music to new places while retaining the core values they’ve always embodied and embraced since their inception. Needless to say, the band is coming into their own on their latest EP.

“Suicide” picks up from the tighter, brash sound of My Private Hell’s previous effort, which subsequently shaped the sound and attitude of the band. The “Suicide EP” serves as a new outlook for My Private Hell with a renewed sense of purpose, as depicted by the colorful, true-to-life story of lead track “Suicide” and the melancholic lullaby of “Temptation.” The EP also captures the listener on bangers “SVD” and “I’m Alive,” with its unapologetic delivery and uplifting message. In a nutshell, says Blue, “It’s a new band. We know where we come from and where we’ve been and what we’ve done. We’re headed in a new direction now. Not on purpose. It’s just where we’re headed and that’s it.”

Gian’s latest batch of songs, with Blue and Eric co-writing, were penned over the past few years and recorded sporadically during that period. With little help from friends here and there on the producing end and recording help from the Soundmaster Recording Engineer School, these and other elements helped fine-tuned the recordings.

My Private Hell’s roots stretch a few years back with the members being involved in various other bands. Things really began diligently when the current members teamed up in late 2005. The name My Private Hell was re-born from an old band of the members, and the first EP, “Weight of the World”’ came at the end of year. After two and a half years of earnestly playing shows, self-promotion, line-up changes, My Private Hell went back in the studio to write new material and crafted their much anticipated follow-up album, “Suicide EP.”

My Private Hell spent 2008 honing their skills and making adjustments. Rolling out new songs-many of them based on life experiences from the band-at their dynamic live shows, audiences eagerly agreed that round two has just begun. “We played ‘Suicide’ and ‘Temptation,’ which is on the new EP, for the first time in Los Angeles,” Gian says. “We got a huge response after ‘Temptation,’ which is new in direction for us, and ‘Suicide’ got good movement, horns and banging heads. Moments like that are surreal as to how people can immediately make a connection without even hearing the song beforehand. Music is about making that connection and connect we will.”

Still embracing the D.I.Y. ethic 110% to this day, My Private Hell began piecing their EP together with a new attitude. The “Suicide EP” marks the natural progression and evolution of My Private Hell. “The songs are what best represents the talent we possess. With the potential we have, the sky is the limit,” Gian explains. “There’s always going to be those days where you need My Private Hell to either forget about your bad day but instead think about the good times or feel better than you already do or pump you up for whatever you’re going to do. To me, simply put, it’s stimulation of the mind. That’s where we fit into the equation in the musical landscape. We are your scapegoats. We are the music to your daily life. You can hear it in our music and feel it in my lyrics.”

Shortly after the EP release, My Private Hell will be pursuing all different types of opportunities for exposure and awareness of their music, for which Gian will be joined by Blue and Eric, the current members. All are looking forward to bringing the new songs onstage and in action. The “Suicide EP” will mark the journey of the “Filipino Band That Could” and will definitely brand My Private Hell as one of L.A.’s most buzzworthy and notable bands in the vast music scene.
