International Brangus Auxiliary Announces 2009 National Scholarship Winners

San Antonio, TX, April 29, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The International Brangus Auxiliary (IBA) is proud to reveal this year’s national scholarship winners. The announcement was made to a packed room during the 2009 International Brangus Breeders Awards Banquet, held in Houston, Texas on March 6th, 2009.

The Ray Mackey Memorial Upperclassman Scholarship was awarded to Stephanie Climer. Miss Climer is the daughter of Stephen and Freida Climer from Bells, Tennessee. She is currently studying nursing at Tennessee Technological University. The amount of the scholarship is $2500.

The IBA Upperclassman Scholarship was awarded to Payton Farris. Mr. Farris is the son of Danny and Mary Beth Farris of Tuscola, Texas. He is currently studying Animal Science at West Texas A & M University. The amount of the scholarship is $2000.

The Ray Mackey Memorial Underclassman Scholarship was awarded to Chelsie Meyer. Miss Meyer is the daughter of Danny Meyer and Jana Meyer-Selman. She is a high school senior and hails from Wayne, Oklahoma. The amount of the scholarship is $2500.

The IBA Underclassman Scholarship was awarded to Benjamin Wishert. Mr. Wishert, a high school senior, is the son of Matt and Cindy Wishert of Magnolia, Texas. The amount of the scholarship is $2000.

About the International Brangus Auxiliary.
The International Brangus Auxiliary (IBA) was founded in 1977 as an organization to promote Brangus and education. The IBA awarded its first scholarship in 1979. To date, the IBA has awarded over $330,500 in scholarships to deserving International Junior Brangus Breeders Association (IJBBA) members. IJBBA members may be awarded a maximum of two IBA scholarships during their college career. IBA scholarships are provided by fundraising and donations made to the IBA scholarship program.
