Joy Behar From ABC’s “The View” Talks To PR.com’s Allison Kugel About: Sex, Politics And Liberal Humor
New York, NY, May 31, 2005 --(PR.com)-- The always outspoken comedian and co-host of ABC’s "The View," Joy Behar, gives PR.com (www.PR.com) her best interview yet, on her left wing liberal views on politics and women’s issues, and defends the comedic chops of Liberals as illustrated in these sound bites:

“I think if there was a God, he would make sure that the clitoris was in the vagina. I think it's a case to be made against believing in God, but, I'm happy to believe in him anyway. But I don't think that was a smart move.”

“I had a radio talk show on WABC Radio for three years. [We covered] Politics, women's issues… I was a funny Liberal. Contrary to what they say, that Liberals are not funny. I think that I was a funny Liberal and so is Bill Maher, and so is Al Franken. They always say that Liberals are not funny. That's a bunch of crap.”

“Yeah, but [George W. Bush] found Jesus. He came back with, "I'm a new man. I love Jesus," Even though he's incompetent.”

“If the Liberals were in power now, I'd be taking them on. If Teddy Kennedy was the President, I'd be on his case, believe me.”

This interview most definitely has a Liberal slant, being that both interview subject and journalist are Liberal Democrats. Does that make it a fair piece of journalism and a representation of free speech at its best, or a terribly slanted and non-objective piece of journalistic garbage? Either way, it’s a great read and highly educational.

Do a 30 year old Jewish woman and a 61 year old Italian woman have any real place in the United States? According to our last presidential election, the majority of our country is “red,” with an outline of “blue” in the states that hold the most minorities. “I guess you could say that this interview is very ‘BLUE!’” says interviewer, Allison Kugel.
