iPhone Apps Now Available for the Very Youngest of Children

The first 10 MobiStories are now available as iPhone and iTouch Apps. Developed for children ages 1-9 and endorsed by parents and educators, MobiStories builds the excitement for and instills the love of books and reading for pre and early readers.

Doylestown, PA, May 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Still Motion Media continues its surge as the leader in children’s digital book technology to mobile devices by launching its first 10 MobiStories into the iTunes Application store. Now, any of the 50 million owners of iPhone and iTouch devices can download content designed specifically for early and pre-readers.

MobiStories maintains the integrity of each book by keeping the rich illustrations, and enhances the story time experience by adding original music, sound effects, narration and “turning pages” to accompany the original text of noted children’s authors.

“We intentionally do not include games or other animations in these applications as, according to our childhood development advisors and reading experts, they disrupt the storytime-reading experience,” commented Rick Toone, creative director and co-founder of the company. “The MobiStories focus is to instill the love of reading for pre and early readers,” he continued.

“Creating apps is the next natural progression for MobiStories,” stated Bob Budlow, President of Still Motion Media. “Our goal has always been to provide mobility for young children’s literature by producing MobiStories on multiple formats for portable digital devices such as iPods, iPhones, Zune, as well as laptops and DVDs. The app is yet another way parents can encourage children to read picture books on the go.”

The first ten applications are available in the iTunes App Store. Thereafter, the company plans to release a new full length MobiStory and a free preview MobiStory every four or five days.
