Dip-Nation Announces May ‘Dip Tower Build-Up’ Contest

Dip-Nation challenges members to create the most unique sculpture out of used snuff tins.

Washingtonville, NY, May 10, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Dipping tobacco fans everywhere now have a good reason for hoarding their old, empty tins. Dip-Nation, the largest online community for smokeless tobacco users, will be hosting the first annual Dip Tower Build-Off contest this month. Members of their website, dip-nation.com, will have 31 days to submit pictures of the ultimate dip sculpture. Founder Steven Sanders said that the contest was in response to the growing “dip tower” fad on the site.

“When we first launched Dip-Nation we got a few of these tower pics from our members. Well, it caught fire on the website and now there’s been an ongoing battle between several guys who want to have the best sculpture out there, so we decided to give everyone an opportunity to win the bragging rights.”

Entries will be judged by Sanders and a panel of Dip-Nation moderators on several criteria, including size, use of color, and originality. Members can submit as many entries as they wish and are eligible to win in two separate categories: Most creative design and tallest sculpture. Contestants have the freedom to model their towers after whatever they choose as long as the tins are glued together to form one solid piece. Two lucky winners will receive a 5-can log of dip of their choice and an additional can of Revved-Up Energy Dip, provided by the Southern Smokeless Tobacco Company.

Following the success of April’s Mud Jug-sponsored contest, the Tower Build-Up is expected to increase traffic to Dip-Nation and further help the website stake its claim as a major player in the market for online social networking.
