ATCOM Co-Sponsors Fundraiser for Juvenile Diabetes

Leading Business Telecom Solutions Provider Assists in Charity Event.

Raleigh, NC, August 03, 2006 --(PR.com)-- David B. Finch, president and CEO of ATCOM Business Telecom Solutions, a communication solutions provider, has announced that ATCOM co-sponsored a June 16 golf tournament, dinner and silent auction fundraiser for juvenile diabetes research. The “2006 Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Blanton Vogler Memorial Golf Tournament” was held at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, NC, and honored the late Blanton Vogler, a former ATCOM employee who struggled with juvenile diabetes.

Bryan Sayers, ATCOM senior sales representative and friend of Blanton, chaired the event that raised over $40,000 for the cause. He helped recruit the 200 golf participants, as well as coordinate the day’s activities. The success of the event was also due to the collaboration of multiple Triangle businesses that contributed to the fundraiser. Blanton’s friends have already agreed to chair the “2007 JDRF Blanton Vogler Memorial Golf Tournament” on May 18, 2007.

“Juvenile diabetes is a treatable disease,” said Finch. “Businesses have a great opportunity to give back to their communities. Events such as the “JDRF Blanton Vogler Memorial Golf Tournament” allow businesses to become involved in finding a cure.”
