The Golf Fanatic's Guide to Hawaii Named Finalist in National Indie Excellence Awards

Denver, CO, May 14, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Golf Fanatic’s Guide to Hawaii was named a finalist in the travel guides category of the 2009 National Indie Excellence Awards on May 11. The book, released by Hot Tub Publishing, is an all-color guidebook to the top 50 publicly accessible courses in the Aloha State.

“We’re so happy to add another award to our collection,” said author Bryan Fryklund. “It is immensely rewarding to receive this sort of encouragement and validation.”

The National Indie Excellence Awards competition is judged by an independent panel of experts from all aspects—editing, marketing, publicity, and design—of the publishing industry.

“This was Hot Tub Publishing’s first book, so we’re off to a great start, don’t you think?” asked Jen Reeder, the book’s photographer. “It was such a labor of love and we’re looking forward to developing the Fanatic Guides series.”

PGA star Ernie Els wrote the foreword to The Golf Fanatic’s Guide to Hawaii. A percentage of the book’s proceeds benefit the nonprofit organization Hawaii Literacy.
