Rome, Italy, May 15, 2009 --(PR.com
)-- Prince Nicolò, a Prince of the Holy Roman Empire, whose many titles include Prince of Piombino and Prince of Venosa, is an aristocrat with a noble heritage dating back more than a thousand years. His home is Villa Aurora, a fabulous 16th century Italian national treasure in the heart of Rome.
The perfumes’ secrets, locked in the family archives since the 1600’s, were rediscovered by Italy's master profumiere, Lorenzo Dante Ferro. He is one of the very few master perfumers in the world today, and a consultant to the world’s most famous fragrance brands. The maestro followed the ancient formula, using over two hundred of the finest fragrances, to produce a mesmerizing perfume.
Talking about the moment in which the fragrance was complete, he said, “In a mystical moment, connecting the past with the present, a new masterpiece was born, a timeless fragrance that evokes the sheer joy of romance!” It is named L’Aurora, after Guercino’s masterpiece which transforms the ceiling of the Great Hall of Villa Aurora into a breathtaking spectacle of the heavens erupting with the light of a new day.
A male fragrance, used by the first Prince of Piombino, was also unearthed from the archives and was recreated. It is named Giove Nettuno Plutone, after the only known ceiling painted by Caravaggio. Depicting the mighty gods Jupiter, Neptune and Pluto around a vast crystal orb, the ceiling casts magic across the Villa’s Alchemy Room, where unfettered minds once sought to transform lead into gold.
These perfumes are utterly unique and totally captivating. Prince Nicolò has agreed that they should not be kept an intimate family secret. So, as the princely wedding approaches, the master profumiere has produced for him a limited number that are now being made available only through Prince Nicolò’s website at www.PrinceNBL.com.
Godfrey Parkin, spokesperson for PrinceNBL.com, said “These two fragrances are imbued with transformation and magic. They span the centuries, linking the creative passion and glory of the past with the elegance, sophistication and energy of today’s visionary elite. Classical, timeless, and steeped in culture, L’Aurora and Giove Nettuno Plutone are personal, intimate, and intensely romantic. They represent the epitome of taste, quality, class and elegance, and they allow us to share in the magic of this intensely romantic story.”
This family has changed the world on more than one occasion: the Prince descends directly from Pope Gregory XIII who gave us our calendar, and another of his ancestors was a patron to Galileo. Villa Aurora was a hunting lodge in the grounds of the famous Villa Ludovisi, whose gardens rivaled those of Versailles. For countless generations, the spirit, culture and warmth of this noble family and their ancestral home have provided patronage and inspiration to history’s greatest artists, musicians, thinkers and philosophers. Today, Villa Aurora is imbued with the atmosphere of its rich heritage of mystery, romance and enchantment.
Said Godfrey Parkin, “This is a fairy tale story of joy and romance. Prince Nicolò found his true love, and Rita found her Prince. When he first saw Rita, Prince Nicolò’s heart was captivated forever by her beauty and the charm of her smile. He knew in that moment that he would make her his Princess. She is like the golden goddess Aurora, the goddess of dawn who heralds a new day, rapturously flooding his life with love and happiness. They are made for each other, brought together by destiny to live together happily forever after. Rita is a beautiful intellectual modern American woman whose ancestors were among the English aristocracy and founding fathers of America. Since meeting Prince Nicolò, her life has been like a dream come true – she has been swept off her feet by a real Prince Charming and has found the joy of true love. Soon to be Princess Nicolò Boncompagni Ludovisi, her tale is every woman’s fantasy.”
HSH Prince Nicolò Boncompagni Ludovisi’s fragrances are exclusively available from the www.PrinceNBL.com website.
