Borders UK Launches Ebooks Online
London, United Kingdom, May 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Borders UK announced today that it has launched in excess of 45,000 eBooks online at www.borders.co.uk All these titles are available in both ePub and Adobe PDF formats and include a wide range of both and front and backlist titles. All content will be delivered via Gardners Digital Warehouse.
Head of E-commerce at Borders, Julie Howkins, said: “We're delighted to be able to offer our customers the ability to buy eBooks via our website. The bias is still very much towards academic titles but we hope that the number of trade titles will increase quickly when publishers have another route to market.”
At the same time as launching eBooks, Borders UK has taken the opportunity to give its website a fresh new look for the summer. Each product page now has a clearer, brighter feel to it, with tags, booksellers reviews, and ‘If you enjoyed this, then you might like..’ suggestions. In addition, the customer is now offered the chance to choose different editions of the product they have selected and to write reviews.
