Alex Koroknay-Palicz, originally from Michigan, moved to the DC area after attending American University. During his senior year in high school, Alex successfully changed the policy of several age-discriminatory stores in his hometown of Holland, MI. In his capacity as NYRA's Executive Director, Alex has appeared on CNN, PBS and Fox News and has been quoted in most major newspapers in the country, and was the subject of a feature article in the Washington Post. In addition to his role as NYRA's Executive Director, Alex serves on the board of the Community Alliance for the Ethical Treatment of Youth. Alex was voted into office in 1999.
