Burbank, CA, May 30, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The first episode of season 2 of “and Boris” is now online with new episodes every Tuesday and Thursday through July 12th. Created by husband and wife team David P. Kronmiller and Jennifer Emily Mc Lean and starring J. Anthony McCarthy as Boris. Guest Starring: Nick Spano (Even Stevens) and Emy Coligado (Miss Saigon, Malcolm in the Middle). Available at www.andboris.com

David and Jen first decided to delve into the world of web series when they both lost their day jobs within days of each other. An aspiring filmmaker and actress respectively, they determined it was time to take bold action to make their dreams come true. They looked around to see what they could make with what they had available. Using a home depot gift card from Christmas, they bought 5 work lights, a couple different wattages of light bulbs, a plant, and tiki torches. Some spray painted pellet guns from Walmart, $5 bottle of fake blood, a couple good actors with enough faith to join them on their journey and with that they were off. 5 days of shooting and 2 weeks of editing later, they had produced a web series called “and Boris” from concept to release in 6 weeks, made for about $300. And it looked good. The response was good. People who found out how they made it were blown away. But not enough people knew about it. So what do they do next? Season 2, of course.

With help from lead actor J. Anthony McCarthy, they assembled a much larger cast. Many with long impressive resumes all willing to come out and play for “chips”, the running joke went. The actors would perform brilliantly for a steady supply of tortilla chips from the producers. A friend lent his HD camera, a cast member let them shoot at her apartment, a plea to Craigslist and a make-up artist appeared.

They were ambitious. Lots of fight scenes, tons of humor, and even a couple of musical numbers. They shot 74 pages in 14 days, with no crew, no real equipment outside the camera and work lights and it was all done for a price tag of about $600.

“In this second season of "and Boris" we dig deeper into Boris' history as he helps find a girl that's gone missing from a burlesque troupe. This season is about consequence, trust and unrequited love as several of our characters are faced with tough life changing choices. It will ultimately be all up to Boris to step full force into the role of the hero and leave behind his Pancho Sanchez, his sidekick past.”
